RFID security gates
The RFID security gates are transceiver antennas, reading data from RFID tags. When a reader passes through a gate, an antenna reads information from a tag and transmits it to the system. When a book is still listed as being in the library and comes within antenna range, the antenna emits an alarm signal indicating an attempt of an unauthorized removal of a book. If a library customer takes a book away and they are not stopped, it is possible to determine which item has been stolen.
RFID antennas work with the collection management system and enable easy identification of items brought in and taken away. This information can be used by librarians, as a basis to prepare reports and statistics on the collection rotation.
